A family run business specialising in high detail, 3D printed O-gauge models.

Atkitz is a family run team founded by Jon (a university academic with a background in computer aided design and 3D printing) and his father in law, Alex (an avid O-gauge modeller and railway enthusiast).

For Christmas in 2022, Jon designed and 3D printed his first model for Alex - a goods shed as a surprise present, designed from original plans. Alex and his friends were so impressed with the potential of 3D printing that soon requests for other models started to come in, and the idea for Atkitz was born.

We currently have two ranges; basic and advanced. Our basic models are all high detail and printed in single colour plastic, ready for you to paint and customise yourself. Our advanced range of models feature self coloured plastic and an extra level of detail and complexity.

All our models are made from PLA, which is easy to glue, paint and customise should you wish. PLA is a bioplastic derived from renewable plant based sources with excellent 3D printing properties. In theory, it is also infinitely recyclable. At Atkitz, we reuse any waste to make coasters and other simple items. You might find one included in your order for free (subject to availability).

We are always on the look out for new model ideas and will also consider one off projects and commissions. For more information, please get in touch using the “contact us” page.
